1. About these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the website euroswitch.xyz (the "Service"), operated by EuroSwitch — Rua S. Bartolomeu, Valongo, Porto, Portugal. By using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. The Service

EuroSwitch is an independent, editorial directory of European alternatives to non-European software. Listings are informational and reflect publicly available information at a given point in time. We are not affiliated with the vendors listed unless explicitly stated.

3. Accounts

You must be at least 16 years old to create an account.
You are responsible for keeping your credentials secure.
We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms or applicable law.

4. User submissions

When you submit an alternative, you confirm that (a) the information is accurate to your knowledge, (b) you have the right to submit it, and (c) you grant EuroSwitch a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free licence to display, edit for clarity, translate and redistribute that submission on the Service. You retain ownership of your submission.

Submissions must not:

Promote illegal content, hate speech, harassment, malware or fraud.
Infringe intellectual property or privacy rights of third parties.
Contain automated spam, affiliate stuffing or SEO manipulation.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

Reverse-engineer, scrape at industrial scale, or circumvent access controls.
Overload the Service with automated requests.
Use the Service to violate any law in your jurisdiction or the EU.

6. Intellectual property

The EuroSwitch name, logo, editorial copy, comparison scoring and site design are protected by copyright and other IP rights. You may link to the site and quote short excerpts with attribution. Bulk reproduction requires written permission.

7. Third-party links

The Service links to third-party websites. We do not control and are not responsible for the content, policies or practices of those sites.

8. Disclaimers

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available". While we work hard on accuracy, we make no warranty that listings are complete, current or fit for a particular purpose. You are responsible for your own due diligence before switching provider.

9. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, EuroSwitch is not liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Service. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under EU consumer law.

10. Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and request account deletion at contact@euroswitch.xyz. We may terminate or suspend access if you materially breach these Terms.

11. Changes

We may update these Terms. Material changes will be announced on the site at least 14 days before taking effect. Continued use after that date constitutes acceptance.

12. Governing law & jurisdiction

These Terms are governed by the laws of Portugal, without prejudice to mandatory consumer protection rules in your country of residence within the EU. Disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Porto, Portugal, except where EU consumer law entitles you to bring an action in your local courts. EU consumers may also use the European Commission's Online Dispute Resolution platform at ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr.
